Our Process

Thoughtfully designed, fully engineered, and ready to build.

Our cabins are built from a small, refined set of in-house designs that have been fully engineered and reviewed to meet state requirements. Working from established models allows us to carry learning forward from one build to the next—focusing our effort on execution, consistency, and long-term performance rather than re-inventing the structure each time. The result is a well-managed building process grounded in experience, preparation, and proven results.

Purpose-Built Designs

Each cabin model reflects decades of hands-on building experience and careful refinement. These designs are shaped by what we’ve built, observed, and improved over time—applying what works, adjusting what doesn’t, and preserving what has proven durable in real conditions.

Experience shows not in constant reinvention, but in judgment: knowing where details matter, where restraint serves the structure, and which solutions already stand the test of time.

Engineered & State-Reviewed Plans

All cabin models are professionally engineered to meet high structural and safety standards. Framing, spans, and critical structural components are reviewed and approved before construction begins, ensuring the building performs as intended once it’s in place.

Our designs are also reviewed through the Montana Factory Built Building Program, an optional state process that evaluates construction standards beyond minimum requirements. Approval through this program allows our cabins to be permitted for placement anywhere in the state of Montana, removing a major source of uncertainty for buyers and streamlining the path from build to installation.

Built By Career Craftsmen

These cabins are built by craftsmen who have spent decades constructing permanent homes. Techniques, sequencing, and material choices reflect long experience and disciplined workmanship, with attention given to structure first and finish second.

The goal is not speed or simplification, but building correctly—so the finished cabin performs as intended and holds up over time.
